Mobile device support for Blackberry, iPhone and Android

GFI MailArchiver now lets you search your email archive on the go through its mobile web support for Android, Blackberry and iPhone. GFI MailArchiver users can now search their email archive and view archived emails on their smartphones.

Retention updates

With GFI MailArchiver 2011 R2, administrators now have new retention options. The new options let an organization retain emails by email size, attachment size and attachment extension. Administrators will now have more control over their storage costs and they will be able to set the archive life of emails which contain mp3s, or other video or audio files, for instance.

New languages

The GFI MailArchiver end-user interface has now been localized in 10 new languages to allow for ease-of-use when searching for archived emails. The new languages (in addition to the existing ones - English, German, Italian and Spanish) are French, Dutch, Arabic, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Czech, Hebrew, Japanese, Korean and Russian.

Browser support

GFI MailArchiver now supports Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari.

Automatic archive management

GFI MailArchiver 2011 offers automatic archive management. This means that there is no need to create and roll over to new archive stores based on SQL Express and NTFS: Instead, the administrator can now simply define when to roll over to a new archive and GFI MailArchiver will take care of the rest.

Faster, richer search

GFI MailArchiver 2011 comes with a search that is significantly faster than before. It also includes new search options with exclusion operators like ‘and’, ‘or’ and others, enabling users to perform more targeted searches.

New user interface

GFI MailArchiver 2011 features a brand new user interface based on the latest web technologies for an intuitive, fast user experience. The new user interface is easier to navigate, making it simple for both first-time users and experienced administrators to perform tasks.

Dashboard

The latest version of GFI MailArchiver offers agraphical, dynamic dashboard that displays key information for an at-a-glance overview of the state of archiving processes. This means that administrators just need to refer to the dashboard to get the current status of GFI MailArchiver, thereby spotting potential errors before they can happen.

Fast mailbox restore

GFI MailArchiver 2011 can quickly restore all or part of user’s mailbox from the archive.

Active directory group support

With this latest release, the administrator can specify AD groups, not only AD users, when configuring GFI MailArchiver 2011. This makes it even easier to administer GFI MailArchiver, especially in larger environment.

Post-install wizard

GFI MailArchiver 2011 also features a new post-install wizard that will help administrators to correctly configure the solution.

Streamlined install

In order to make the administrator experience as simple as possible, GFI MailArchiver 2011 now features a streamlined installation process which can automatically configure Exchange Journaling.

Note: GFI MailArchiver 2011 does not support Windows 2000 and Exchange 2000.
