GFI AppManager is a powerful, cloud-based platform designed to simplify IT management for both Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and Small to Medium-sized businesses (SMBs). With its easy deployment and extensive features, GFI AppManager streamlines monitoring, configuration, and notifications across multiple deployments.

Some of its key features include:

  • Central management: Remotely manage, configure, and control your GFI products.
  • Proactive monitoring and alerting: Receive notifications and recommended actions for firewall downtime or mail server traffic spikes.
  • Sophisticated reporting: Detailed reporting capabilities to help you understand your business and communicate valuable information.
  • Multi-tenant support: GFI AppManager enables MSPs to manage all their customer accounts and appliances from one unified dashboard.

Currently, GFI AppManager supports GFI KerioControl and GFI KerioConnect. More products will be added soon.

How does GFI AppManager work?

We’ve updated the on-premise installers for our products to include an AppManager agent. Operating on your hardware, the agent communicates with GFI AppManager in the cloud.

GFI AppManager can then send commands to the agent, such as altering firewall settings on KerioControl or updating the archiving rules on KerioConnect. The agent responds by sending back metrics and data, allowing remote management and monitoring.

GFI AppManager is designed to cater to each business’s unique needs. SMBs will typically have one account with multiple associated products, whether ten firewalls or one instance of GFI KerioConnect and GFI KerioControl. MSPs will manage multiple customer accounts with their own associated products.

Both interface and capabilities vary between SMBs and MSPs, with MSPs having access to additional features.

4. Based on the information you provide in the step above, there will be two different pathways:

a) “No, keep it simple. All Appliances will be in one place.”

GFI AppManager will create the new organization and redirect you to the Overview page. The page will not show any data because appliances are not yet associated with this GFI AppManager account.

b) “Yes, include dashboards to manage Appliances across multiple accounts." (MSPs should select this option)
