Find what machines have a specific port open with GFI LanGuard

In this video I am going to show you how to quickly and easily find which machines have a specific port open with GFI LanGuard.

Open the Dashboard tab and select the Ports view to see a general status of ports opened on your network. You can see which machines have each port open. Both TCP and UDP open ports are reported. On machines where the agent is installed, additional information can be retrieved such as the executable that opened the port.

This is useful when trying to determine if a certain port is opened by a valid service or not. By using the Port Scanner profile you can trigger a security scan by right clicking on the selected computer on the left of the screen, select Scan and then Custom Scan, click the Scan button in the top part of the screen and you can see the results in real time.

To view the results in a printable format open the Reports tab at the top of the screen, select Open ports from the Reports menu and click the Generate report button.

I hope you found this video useful be sure to check out our other GFI LanGuard videos. Thanks for watching.
