New monitoring agents and dashboard usability improvements increase ease of use for MSPs with customers running on the Windows, Mac or Linux platforms
GFI Software™ today announced a number of new updates for the GFI MAX RemoteManagementTM platform for managed services providers (MSPs) designed to make it even easier for them to manage their customers’ networks and increase client satisfaction, from their desktop as well as their mobile devices. Many of the new features have been implemented based on feedback received from the GFI IdeaFactorywhich allows customers and users to submit, discuss and vote on their ideas for improvements to GFI products. These enhancements include the addition of a new monitoring agent for OS X, access to the GFI MAX Android™app and the implementation of a new system tray app.
By adding a monitoring agent for OS X, GFI MAX RemoteManagement now gives MSP engineers greater flexibility to manage Windows, Mac and Linux-based machines from a single integrated dashboard. In addition, the new monitoring agent now enables a free seed-loading service for Managed Online Backup – delivering significant time and bandwidth savings when setting up the service – and a competitive agent-removal tool for Managed Antivirus which makes it much easier for MSPs to quickly and automatically migrate their customers’ machines to GFI’s managed security software. The new monitoring agent also offers additional patch management improvements.
The GFI MAX Android app enables MSPs to manage and monitor servers, workstations and networks for all of their clients from their Android mobile device and contains the same functionality that is found in the GFI MAX iOS app. The app provides access to the key functionality present in the full GFI MAX RemoteManagement tool, allowing MSPs to react more quickly to their customers’ problems. By using the app to access live information about outages, checks, notes and automated tasks, providers can obtain a comprehensive view of their clients’ infrastructure no matter where they are.
GFI MAX RemoteManagement’s new system tray app gives end users the ability to quickly and easily contact their managed services provider directly from their desktop when issues arise. By making it easier for MSPs to be aware of and address their customers’ issues in a timely fashion, GFI MAX allows its partners to increase customer retention and satisfaction by delivering a highly responsive service. The system tray app enables users to take screenshots of their current screen and automatically send them to their managed services provider to aid in the remediation process. Users can also use the system tray app to run local files, redirect to websites for assistance and initiate remote support sessions, with all functionality fully customizable by the MSP.
