Ingram Micro to distribute GFI Software products in Australia

GFI Software today announced that Ingram Micro, Australia’s largest distributor of technology products, will distribute the company’s web and mail security, archiving and fax, networking and security software and hosted IT solutions.

“We believe the agreement will provide GFI with unrivalled opportunities to increase market awareness and reach for the entire range of solutions we offer,” said Andy Langsam, executive vice president, Sales and Operations, at GFI. “We are fully committed to our channel partners in delivering support, service, margins and reseller opportunities. Partnering with Ingram is another important proof point of that commitment.”

GFI's award-winning products are available either as on-premise solutions, in the cloud or as a hybrid of both delivery models. They include applications for mail security and spam filtering, web monitoring, backup, mail archiving, fax, endpoint and network security, and server management. Ingram Micro will distribute the full range of GFI products to customers in Australia; on-premise solutions will be available immediately, with hosted solutions to follow.

Lee Welch, Senior Business Manager – Software and Cloud Services, Ingram Micro Australia, said, “We’ve very excited to be part of the GFI Global Partner Program. GFI’s portfolio of products addresses the increasing security needs of small to medium businesses, and helps round out our industry-leading offerings to SMB-focused resellers.”

“The scale of reach into the software space that Ingram can provide is undeniable, and will enable us to increase our reseller penetration in Australia and compete more effectively for prominent placement and customer attention,” Langsam said.

GFI and Ingram Micro Australia will hold a series of IT Service Provider Networking events in November to announce the GFI solutions availability to Ingram Micro partners. To register, see www.gfi.com/pages/partner-events-registration.asp.
