The earliest GFI MailEssentials build which supports upgrading to VIPRE Email Security is version 2012 Service Release 3 (build 20121218).

If the installed build is earlier than the one mentioned above, the installer will not allow the upgrade to continue. The builds mentioned above can be downloaded by clicking on the above links.NOTE:
The quarantined emails within VIPRE Email Security are not moved over to GFI MailEssentials. It's important to manage the quarantined emails prior to upgrading to GFI MailEssentials.
Personal Whitelist and Blocklist entries which are set by the end users can be imported after the installation is completed.
