Alerts and corrective actions

When GFI Network Server Monitor detects a failure, it sends alerts to you via SMS, email, or even a network message. All notifications can be customized using variables. You can configure specific periods (e.g., during a scheduled maintenance) when alerts should not be sent. You also have the option of globally configuring recipients to account for shift changes.

Alerts and corrective actions

GFI Network Server Monitor keeps a close eye on your system and, once an event is detected, automatically moves to correct the problem by restarting a service or multiple services that failed. This feature greatly saves administrator time, and makes sure focus remains on vital issues. The software can also reboot a server upon failure, launch an executable, batch job or VBScript for even greater flexibility.
