Delivery confirmations (US)

Here’s how order confirmations, invoices and license certificates are delivered (this applies only to the US).

Orders received by GFI from resellers (not through the GFI shopping cart)

When GFI receives an order directly from a registered reseller, the reseller will receive an order confirmation email that includes the invoice and an attached software license certificate. We do not send the license key or certificate directly to the end user. Delivering the key and license certificate is the resellers' responsibility.

If you intend to forward the order confirmation to your end user, make sure you remove the invoice attachment included in the email.

Orders received by GFI from resellers (through the GFI shopping cart)

When GFI receives an order through the shopping cart from a registered reseller, the order confirmation email and software license certificate are sent to the reseller. We do not send the license key or certificate directly to the end user. Delivering the key and license certificate is the resellers' responsibility.

Orders received by distributors from resellers

When a reseller orders through one of our distributors, GFI automatically forwards the order confirmation and license certificate to the reseller. We do not send the license key or certificate directly to our distributor or the end user. Delivering the key and license certificate is the resellers' responsibility.

DMR orders

For all orders placed through DMRs, GFI automatically forwards the order confirmation and license certificate to the end user. We do not send the license key or certificate directly to the DMR. The invoice for DMR orders goes to distribution, as all DMRs purchase via Lifeboat or Trustin.
