Chicago, 19th April 1999 – GFI, leading developer of fax, workflow and e-mail add-on software, has ranked 34th out of hundreds of thousands developers the world over in a prestigious list compiled by Microsoft Corporation and CMP Media. Microsoft named GFI one of the fastest growing independent software vendors – or ISVs – for Windows, based on research conducted by Reality Research Inc., for its outstanding products for the Windows environment. As one of the world’s top 75 ISVs, GFI received a commemorative award last night in Chicago, USA during a "Winning on Windows" presentation ceremony.

Nick Galea, president of GFI says: "Winning on Windows is designed to identify and promote the fastest growing Windows software companies, recognizing growth, innovation and opportunity on the Windows platform. To be named a top ISV is a fine tribute to our devotion to quality in developing truly efficient, cost-effective, and practical solutions. This is a great honor and achievement for GFI. "
Mr Galea adds: "The award acknowledges the GFI programming team’s commitment and consistent efforts to develop cutting edge software. The team is justifiably proud of this endorsement from Microsoft. We are all pleased to be recognized for our contribution to the Windows NT platform."

The Winning for Windows ISVs awarded yesterday evening were determined through a search and selection process conducted by Reality Research, a subsidiary of CMP Media. Over 25,000 ISVs were shortlisted and asked to complete a voluntary survey on Reality Research’s web site. The survey ascertained ISV revenue information, product type, and percentage of annual revenue derived from Windows product sales. The top 75 ISVs were selected and ranked according to highest % revenue growth between 1997 and 1998.
