Reduced pricing for joint GFI MailEssentials/GFI MailSecurity purchases

London, UK, 21 June 2002 - GFI has launched the GFI MailEssentials Security Bundle, enabling customers to purchase GFI MailEssentials 7 and GFI MailSecurity together at special reduced pricing.

Over the past year, GFI has redeveloped Mail essentials from the ground up. As part of this project, Mail essentials was split into 2 separate products, which could work in tandem but focus on separate features - GFI MailSecurity and GFI MailEssentials.

GFI MailSecurity performs email content checking, exploit detection, threats analysis and anti-virus. Key features include:

• Multiple virus engines, for better protection;
• Email content and attachment checking, to quarantine dangerous emails;
• An exploit shield, to perform email intrusion detection & defence; and
• An email threats engine, to analyse & defuse HTML scripts, .exe files & more.

GFI MailSecurity can be deployed as an email SMTP gateway or on Exchange 2000 Server via the Microsoft VS API interface, which allows GFI MailSecurity to scan the Exchange message stores.

GFI MailEssentials provides email disclaimers, anti-spam, archiving of all inbound and outbound Internet mail, centralised Internet mail logging, server-based auto replies and POP3 mail downloading. GFI MailEssentials installs on Exchange 2000 Server, or on a separate machine in front of it. Via the SMTP protocol, GFI MailEssentials also works with Exchange Server 5.5, Lotus Notes and other popular SMTP/POP3 servers.

GFI MailSecurity and GFI MailEssentials can be installed on the same machine.
