Will my VIPRE Internet Security 2012 auto update to the 2013 version. My subscription for 3 PC’s expires 5/7/2013.
We’re rolling out the update now. In the next few weeks, you’ll receive a pop-up notification from VIPRE asking you to update to the 2013 version. This update is free for current customers.
I have the Lifetime version of VIPRE, the pop-up update had come up several times and every time I click Update it says “There is a Prolbem – VIPRE cannot continue Installation” “Your installation failed during installer download.
Please try again later.”
Hi Scott. Our support team will need some more information in order to troubleshoot your problem (license key, operating system, etc.). Please send them a support request here: http://support.gfi.com/Support/supportrequest.aspx?lcode=en
Only one of my three PCs auto updated to 2013. I have tried again and again to update the other two without success. What should I do?
As we are rolling out the update in stages, not all PCs will update at the same time. If you would like to manually update to the 2013 version, here’s how to do it: http://kb.gfi.com/articles/SkyNet_Article/How-to-manually-update-your-VIPRE-software?retURL=%2Fapex%2Fsupportviprehome&popup=true
I found this thread as today, January 3, 2012, I’ve not received a thing about my PC-lifetime subscription updating from 2012 to 2013 version; I tried this manual update to 2013 AV-only version, but all it did was tell me “Good News! You’re Already Updated!”. However, though the installer then closed itself, my VIPRE GUI still says “2012″. I got this PC lifetime when I got the PC (late January or so 2011), and it updated from 2011 to 2012, it’s the same PC. How do I update?

I love this software,I get my Vipre just a weeks ago.I read it very carfully but I did’n gad it can I usin for BANKING to safety? Please send me a letter about this. Thanks regards,Imre.
VIPRE Antivirus 2013 will protect your computer from virus’s and malware. This will help keep your system protected so you do not have to worry while banking online. For added protection, VIPRE Internet Security 2013 contains anti-spam, anti-intrusion, and bad website blocking. These features work together with the antivirus engine found in VIPRE Antivirus to offer a total protection package.
Vipre 2012 included all the features mentioned, plus 3rd party ad blocking. Ad blocking has been REMOVED from 2013. That was a mistake.
Hi M. We’re sorry you feel that way. Modern day browsers, such as Chrome, IE, and Firefox, all have the ability to block 3rd party advertisements, either natively or with the use of plugins such as AdBlock. Also, with Internet Explorer 9, you have the ability to install TPL, or Tracking Protection Lists.
where do i go to install my recently purchased vipre internet security
Hi John,
Here is a link to the download page:
http://www.vipreantivirus.com/vipre-internet-security/download-now
Your list of features Vipre 2013 does not mention the REMOVAL of 3rd Party Ad Blocking feature, which was one of the unique features Vipre had from V4 to V2012. Removing this feature removes the edge that Vipre had over all the others in the industry. Without this feature, I don’t need Vipre anymore. Please put it back asap. I have reverted back to Vipre 2012 because I need that feature more than I need the Easy Update, which does not work on either of my machines.
Hi M. I’ve forwarded your concerns to the dev team.
I agree with M Brown….ad blocking is/was very nice.
As a long term Sun Belt/ Vipre subscriber, ad blocking is also a critical feature for me, since it is no longer part of Vipre, as my several subscriptions to Vipre expire, I will not be renewing them
I agree too. Please make dev team to put ad blocking feature back. People make sure to vote the idea so they can hear us:

Hi Brenda. Not dumb at all!
You do need to keep your computer running when VIPRE is scanning for threats.

Hi Folks,
I just wanted to say I have given up the “over-hyped” and “resource hogging” Bitdefender Total Security for Vipre Internet Security 2013 (and now 2014 with the free year offer). Y’all have come a long way and I am glad to see you “leading the way” in PC Security!
Thanks Robert
