Although, I wholeheartedly agree on all of your points (on this article and many others) on the necessity of it in the closed corporate setting, how do any of you feel about network monitoring solutions in an open setting: on, say, the internet in general. Doesn’t the internet require more security than the average user can hope to equip himself?
