Review Round-up

on May 31, 2010

What better way to understand whether a specific product is right for you than to read a detailed review from someone who has already used it?

We’ve gathered the latest reviews of GFI WebMonitor, GFI MAX RemoteManagement, GFI MAX MailProtection and GFI Backup 2010 – Business Edition to give you a clear insight into all the software’s features so that you are able to make an informed decision.

Leandro Amore describes GFI WebMonitor 2009 as stable, intuitive and easy to use monitoring software that gives clear results and could provide organizations with further insight about their users’ browsing habits.

Microscope reviews GFI MAX RemoteManagement calling it your hosted option in managing email and blocking spam and viruses. “It is hard not to be impressed by the security service GFI MAX can offer the channel”.

Business Security Information reviews GFI MAX MailProtection and determines that it “was very effective in blocking about 98 percent of the spam and blocking around 99 percent of problem-noted e-mails.”

Meanwhile, Ugh’s Greymatter Honeypot says “GFI Max MailProtection is a great option for SMEs (Small and Medium Sized Enterprises) who may not have the right level of staffing to manage dedicated solutions; but it also scales to accommodate larger organisations.”

Mytechguide.org  advises that “If you are running a SMB and looking for a good and reliable backup solution, then GFI Backup 2010 Business Edition is certainly worth a look.”

Paul Mah over at IT Business Edge agrees with this as he discovers that “the SMB moniker refers more to its affordability and not a reduction in functionality”.

I’ve actually been on the hunt for a comprehensive overview of these kinds of reviews. It saves us the time of having to sort through each particular review and summarize them individually, especially since most reviews end up being quite extensive.

My staff and I are going to be evaluating the possible need for these products in the coming months. Hopefully, we’ll see more like these in the future. Thank you for this!
