Second Star was a passive monitor - break / fix shop. We were completely dead in the water. There was too much established competition and we needed something that was cost effective that could help us stand out as I moved the company into the dreaded (I personally hate how everyone else does it) MSP market.

I have demoed most of the large RMM products on the market personally. Some have advantages over Max but none can compete with the per seat price, the ToC, or RoI I get with GFI.

The service continues to expand and I have not heard a whisper of prices going up. We have a small group of dedicated script writers that can pile onto the automation features in GFI.

I have built my tiny little empire off of GFI Max and I encourage anyone considering a move to start up MSP to give it a good look.
